Software House Dealer Integrates AXCESS Inc. System to Provide Comprehensive Asset Management

Industry Canada Implements System to Protect Laptops

Dallas, TX. February 12, 2004 – AXCESS International Inc. (AXCESS - OTCBB:AXSI), an RFID and digital video solutions provider for physical security and asset management, announced today that Altel Incorporated, an Authorized Software House Dealer, has completed the implementation of an ActiveTag? Asset Management System at Industry Canada.

Integrated with Software Houses’ C•CURE 800/8000 system, the ActiveTag? technology provides Industry Canada with integrated, hands-free asset protection and access control. By tagging laptops, Industry Canada is able to automate asset containment and prevent/verify unauthorized asset movement through immediate alarm generation and video documentation.

“AXCESS’ partnership with Software House provides a totally integrated solution for companies looking for asset containment and tracking,” stated Ben Donohue, AXCESS Inc. VP of Business Development.

“Given the increase of laptop theft in industry and government, the C•CURE 800/8000/ActiveTag? solution combats employee theft using advanced RFID technology to provide real-time, hands-free event monitoring while allowing employees and assets to move freely within the enterprise.”

The partnership between AXCESS Inc. and Software House, a unit of Tyco International Ltd., (NYSE: TYC; BSX: TYC) brings together complementary technologies to offer integrated personnel access control and asset management. By pairing AXCESS’ hands-free ActiveTag products with the C•CURE system, Software House is able to provide their customers with a complete personnel access and asset containment system, including the ability to link assets to specified personnel.

“We’re pleased to continue working with our integrators and AXCESS Inc. to provide this extended RFID solution to important customers like Industry Canada,” said Paul J. Piccolomini, Vice President of Research and Development for Tyco’s Access Control product line.

“This implementation by Altel certainly highlights the growing demand for internal asset-tracking and hands-free access control, and we’re confident that the C•CURE 800/ActiveTag? system will provide the ideal solution.”
